How to Host a Conference Call with Line2

Posted by Mackenzie Pethard | No Comments »

Line2 gives you the ability to host a conference call on your cell phone with up to 20 participants.  Best of all you won’t incur any hosting charges.

To start a call just open the Line2 app and make sure the VoIP indicator in the keypad is showing. (Note: You won’t be able to use Line2 in cellular direct mode for hosting conference calls but you can still join another conference call in cell direct mode.)

While on a call, you can use the “add a call” icon to dial another number (from the keypad, contacts, or recents screens). Once you have both calls connected, tapping “merge calls” will put all parties into conference.  You can continue using add a call and merge calls to add up to 20 participants to the conference.

Once you are in a conference, you can tap the “i” icon to manage the Participants list.

You can view who is on the call and even drop individual callers.

One additional feature you may not know about. Even though you are the host because the conference is hosted on our servers, you can leave the call without disconnecting the other conference participants.
